Holamaste, Meet Loca Loka Tequila

Holamaste! We have an award-winning new friend at the bar, Loca Loka Tequila.

The name is a cross-cultural merging of the Spanish "loca" (crazy) and the Sanskrit "loka" (world). It's a vibrant blend of Indian and Mexican heritage co-founded by actor Rana Daggubati, music composer, Anirudh Ravichander, and entrepreneur, Harsha Vadlamudi. They were seeking to craft a premium playful tequila with global flair.

Distilled authentically in Mexico, this additive free tequila uses only mature blue weber plants from the Los Altos highlands where the cooler higher altitude produces more sugar-rich agave, which is said to lead to fruiter smoother tequila.  The pinas are slow cooked in traditional brick ovens which caramelizes the agave sugars more gently, preserving natural sweetness.   The Roller mill extraction method provides the cleaner less earthy flavor the creators were going for highlighting the citrus and floral notes.  The natural yeast fermentation in open vats, allows local microflora to influence the flavor giving it a more layered profile.  It is distilled twice in copper pot stills, ensuring a smooth yet character-rich spirt. The copper removes harsh sulfides giving the tequila a clean, polished taste.

We have two expressions for you at the Franklin Inn.  Both are additive free and receive high ratings on Tequila Matchmaker and other tequila reviewing panels.  Loca Loka has also won multiple awards and says that they are now working on an anjeo expression.
