Open on Sunday, Cinco De Mayo

Open on Sunday, Cinco De Mayo

Sunday, May 5, 2024 aka Cinco De Mayo! We will open at noon.

This is a rare opportunity to dine at the Franklin Inn on a Sunday. We haven't opened to the public on a Sunday since 2019! (That's the last time Cinco De Mayo fell on this day of the week).  Come dine at the Pittsburgh area's longest running Mexican Restaurant. Our staff is eager to serve you. If you can't make it on Sunday....join us tonight. Our special features start now.

Soup: Black Bean - One of our most popular soups. Not vegetarian.

This Week's Tamale Flavor: Pork. Hand rolled with spices and masa flour. Steamed in corn husks. Served with two sides.

Chef's feature: The Mega "Cinco" Burrito
Because a massive celebration deserves an epic burrito! Over a pound and a half of mega deliciousness. Hand shaved NY Strip Steak with caramelized onion, Pepper Jack Cheese, Charro Beans flavored with bacon, Rice, and other love wrapped in a 14” flour tortilla. House made spicy rojo & verde tomatillo salsas featuring chile de arbol and guajillo peppers. Blanco Queso. Crema and Pico De Gallo garnish. We doubt you will finish it, but if you don’t wanna share, that’s okay. It means left overs for lunch.

Free Guacamole?
Again, this year to celebrate his birthday and Cinco de Mayo, Dwayne Johnson and Teremana Tequila will pay for your guacamole while supplies last. All you have to do is sign up and submit your receipt with proof, and your guac could be on the Rock. We will be offering his signature margarita, the Teremana People's Pineapple Margarita. We also created a Guac on the Rock Guacamole Appetizer for you featuring a trio of fresh made guacamoles including: Pineapple, Chipotle, and our House. Details on how the Rock will pay for your guac here: https://teremana.com/pages/guacontherock
