Here's something special for you to sip on at the Inn tonight. Taste the difference that an investment in time and technique add to tequila with these Patron luxury spirits. John suggests neat. But, if you gotta add something....how about on the rocks with an orange twist. If you haven't had it yet and want to taste the nuances, it may be better to sip slowly at room temperature. But, we will serve it any way you want. It makes a very expensive but kick ass Tequila Old Fashioned (which I can attest to!).
Gran Patrón Piedra is made from the finest 100% Weber Blue Agave and is crafted using the centuries-old tahona process at Hacienda Patrón distillery in Jalisco, Mexico. (Btw, John and I had the opportunity to visit the Hacienda this Summer and we were so impressed with the production and sustainability efforts.) Piedra is aged in a combination of French Limousin and new American oak barrels for four years. It's final home is a crystal bottle at the Inn.
Gran Patrón Burdeos is an oh so lovely tequila crafted in very limited quantities from the finest 100% Weber Blue Agave grown in the Highlands of Jalisco. Twice distilled and aged in used American and new French oak barrels, it is then finished in vintage Bordeaux wine barrels, which impart a dark amber color and a taste that´s velvety smooth with hints of vanilla and raisins. I love this one neat and in a Tequila Old Fashion but like I said, it is an expensive Tequila Old Fashioned. Take your time with enjoying it.
